Every year the USACTC holds a national meeting at our National Specialty event. This past year, 2011, was a dynamic year with our transition beginning with AKC. In 2012 we will be working on many different issues as we begin the multi-year transition to a fully recognized AKC breed. Every annual meeting/specialty is intended to give the opportunity to our members direct contact with their club, the Board, and their Regional representatives. It is also a great time to see the breed, view Champion Cotons, meet everyone and get the latest details on our club and where we are headed! Great times are coming and we hope you are excited and can offer your volunteer activities with your club!
We will plan to hold another National Specialty event later in 2012 and may offer some regional shows or support events at other AKC regional shows in 2012. Much depends upon the dynamics of our growth and the information that AKC demands from the Club and the Board members. Please watch this web page for updates throughout 2012 concerning shows and other meetings or events that are directly pertinent to the Coton de Tulear.
On December 15th and 16th of 2011 the USACTC, Inc. held a National Specialty Show and a Regional Specialty Show. Both events were held at the Floriday’s Hotel. In addition, our Annual Meeting and Special Attraction Events for puppies and companion dogs was held bringing together a broad and diverse base of Coton owners.
It was a successful event from all aspects!
