Breeders Directory

The USACTC, Inc. does not endorse any breeder specifically, but we do endorse our breeder’s directory. We cannot “guarantee” you that a puppy you purchase will be satisfactory in regards to health, temperament or conformation. We can only assure you that these breeders have signed their agreement to follow the USACTC, Inc. Code of Ethics for breeding.

Please note there is a difference in breeders that claim to be Code of Ethics Breeders and those that actually practice ethical breeding. Breeders listed on our Breeders Directory are defined by a standard of excellence. Our Breeders Directory is breeders that adhere to a set of ethical principles and are distinguished from those who exploit the breed solely for profit.

Before breeders on our Directory Listing can register their litters, the dam and sire must be health tested and obtain normal result on OFA Congenital Cardiac exams, Patellar Luxation and Cerf number before breeding. These breeders have the welfare of each individual Coton de Tulear, as well as the welfare of the entire breed, governs the behavior in all aspects of breeding. Please ask breeders questions about their dogs, health and temperament guarantee, sales policies, experience, veterinary practices, and socialization of pups.

Our goal is to reach out to all puppy buyers to educate them on the importance of buying from a Code of Ethics breeder. A Code of Ethics protects the Coton, the puppy buyer and the breeder.
