Puppy development: The first eight weeks

These photos of Diamond Cali Rose, Linda Dolan’s puppy, shows her during the first eight weeks of her life. Coton puppies are born all white or with black or brown patches. You can see the intense color on her head fading over these few short weeks. As an adult, insert bottom next page, she is totally white.

At birth

13 days
Here she is with her sibling, the all white puppy, at thirteen weeks. Notice how black her nose is compared to the other white puppy who’s nose is just beginning to turn black.

At 22 days she is just beginning to explore the world.

4 weeks
First meals, recognizing people and giving kisses are now a part of Cali Rose’s life. Note the color on her head is already fading a little.
