Entry Fee: $15.00 per puppy
One combined class, not divided by sex, will be offered for puppies that are at least four (4) months of age but less than six (6) months of age on the date of the competition. A foreign born dog may enter this
class if they are registered in the country of origin. Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed will be chosen. An AKC registration number or AKC litter number is required for entries.
Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a nonprofessional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants or household members of a professional handler. A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show Competition.

Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries
NR2.09100. Stud Dog Class - For Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The Stud Dog cannot be shown as the Get for another Stud Dog. Owner of Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get. Offspring judged only to be judged based on their merits. Each dog making up the Get must be individually entered in one of the Regular Conformation Classes, Best of Breed Competition, or a Non-Regular Class (other than Stud Dog) at this Specialty. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its breed.

NR2.09200. Brood Bitch Class - Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get where appropriate.
NR2.09300. Brace Class - Two dogs of the same breed, performing in unison. Dogs competing in Brace must have at least one common owner. Dogs need not be entered in another class. Brace Class must be indicated on the entry form. If more than one Brace is entered by common owners, the dogs comprising each Brace Unit must be so designated, “Brace No. 1,” “Brace No. 2,” etc. Indicate on each entry form the AKC  number/registered name of the other member of the Brace. NOTE: As the judge’s decision in the Stud Dog, Brood Bitch & Brace Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed or Variety by virtue of having won these classes.

00100. The Sweepstakes is open to all Cotons de Tulear who are 6 months & under 18 months of age on the day of the show. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class. Professional handlers may only compete with dogs they own. Champions or Grand Champions of Record are not eligible to compete in Sweepstakes. Entry in Sweepstakes must be made at the same time and on the same entry form as entry to Regular Classes, by indicating in the box for “Additional Classes” your entry into the appropriate Sweepstakes class and age division.

Attention Exhibitors

The Show Site will be available from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. On show days, the site is available at 6:00 A.M. The building closes at 10:00 P.M., will be locked and security on-site at 11:00 P.M. daily. Vehicles will be permitted 15 minutes to unload at grooming doors with flashers on and then must be moved to parking area. Free Concourse Grooming is available on a first come basis. NO roping off or saving unused grooming space. Crates must be stacked and no exercise pens allowed in grooming space. The event committee reserves the right to remove or rearrange equipment of those exhibitors who do not follow these rules. Breeds holding specialties, sweepstakes and supported entries can purchase a grooming area on the concourse area if desired. OUTDOOR EXERCISE PENS allowed but NOT within 50 feet of any doorway and only in grassy areas. Dog Washing Facilities provided at Barn Number 22 (Miller Barn) directly behind the Alltech Arena with hot/cold water. PARKING & FEES - All attendees/exhibitors for any of the Bluegrass Classic dog events will have free entry into the KY Horse Park. Please tell the attendant at the Main Gate that you are there for the Bluegrass Classic Dog Show to receive free entry into the Horse Park. There is an admission charge to the Alltech Arena, and any of dog events (Conformation, Barn Hunt, Lure Coursing and Dock Diving, Rally and Obedience) which is $7.00 per car load, per day or $30.00 for a 5-day Event Pass that includes in/out privileges.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARKING - All RV camping/parking at the Kentucky Horse Park must be arranged through the Campground store. Please call (859) 259-4257 for reservations, press 2 at the prompt and you will be taken to reservations. YOU MUST STATE YOU ARE WITH THE BLUEGRASS CLASSIC DOG SHOWS. THIS WILL PUT YOU INTO THE RESERVED BLOCK FOR THE SHOW PARTICIPANTS. WE HAVE 80 SPACES RESERVED FOR OUR SHOW. CAMPGROUND SPACES REQUIRE A 5 NIGHT RESERVATION WHICH IS $40.00. IF YOU ARE WANTING TO PARK AN RV IN THE PARKING LOT AT THE ARENA YOU MUST HAVE A PRIMITIVE PERMIT WHICH IS PURCHASED AT THE CAMPGROUND STORE. It is located on the Kentucky Horse Park property about one mile from Alltech Arena. You may use your motor vehicle through the main gate or golf cart on the property grounds to get to the Alltech Arena, and other dog events. (There is an admission fee so make sure you have your pass) There are a limited number of primitive RV parking sites available around the Alltech Arena. You must be self-contained to use these spots. ALL RVS MUST GO TO THE CAMPGROUND FIRST TO CHECK IN FOR THE PRIMITIVE RV PARKING BY THE ALLTECH ARENA, IF YOU DO NOT YOU WILL BE TICKETED, TOWED AND OR FINED. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS
Telegraph, Telephone (Except Dial-N-Entry®) and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On Official AKC Entry Forms, Downloaded and/or Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Mail All Entries With Fees to MB-F, Inc., Superintendent, P.O. Box 22107, Greensboro, North Carolina 27420. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards. The person accompanying a dog must show tickets of admission and identification before the dog will
be received. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please verify your entry with the MB-F Office in North Carolina. Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express number, expiration date, cardholder’s name must appear on each entry. Fax entries must be received by the closing hour/date. Fax fee: $4.50 per entry in addition to entry fee. All credit card entries, regardless of method submitted, are processed through the Fax program and are charged the $4.50 administrative fee. This Fax Fee is subject to change without notice. Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to MB-F, Inc. CANADIAN/FOREIGN exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us to either use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. Superintendent assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Tabulate carefully. Due to cost of processing, no refunds $4.00 and under will be made.
An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 will be required for each first entry and $3.00 each additional entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. An AKC Event Service Fee of $2.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Open Show. All Recording and Event Service Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. (There is no Recording Fee or Event Service Fee for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog Classes or Special Attractions.) No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no refund of entry fee will be made.
Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline (877) 252-3229. Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined
cards from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be charged or withheld from refunds for duplicate entries. An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Each Owner and Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at a show is bound by the Certification and Agreement on the front and back of the entry form regardless of who may have completed & submitted the entry form. As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media. Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent’s Office advised at once. The Superintendents and show giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted.


Our 2016 National Specialty is being held this year with the Bluegrass Classic Cluster at the beautiful KY Horse Park in Lexington, KY.  The National Theme will be the Run For The Roses.  The National show date is set for Saturday, Sept 3rd. Our National Obedience & Rally will be held on Saturday, Sept 3rd in conjunction with the Lexington Kennel Club Trials.  Our National Awards will go to the High Scoring Coton(s) in Obedience and in Rally as well as Novice High Scoring Coton(s) in Obedience and Rally! Be sure to enter in the Lexington Kennel Club Trials! I believe there will be Trials each day. But if you are trying for our National, make sure you enter on Saturday!  Your Show Committee has created a Facebook page to share National information and updates.  It is: USACTC 2016 National Specialty. Please share our Facebook page &/or National Info! It is open to all! Our USACTC "Welcome Mat" to all Coton lovers and exhibitors!  Our Hospitality committee is hard at work coming up with fun mementos for the hospitality bags. Anyone who would like to donate items we would love to hear from you. We ask that you provide about 40 of any item.
